Freshman Tony Ames thinks going to an art school will mean all he has to do is paint. It only takes a few days to discover how wrong he is and how incompetent he feels. The work is boring and tedious. Everyone else seems so together. But Tony is alone. And lonely. He should never have moved 1,500 miles from his Nebraska home.
The high spot of his week is playing racquetball with champion and former fashion model Lissa. But the endorphins only lift his spirits for a couple hours a week, and Lissa is way out of his league. He decides not to return for second semester but when Melody, his secret crush in Figure Drawing, suggests that he model for the class when the day's subject fails to show up, things slowly begin to change for Tony.
When Lissa decides to help get Tony and Melody together, and the college decides he's perfect for a new program they are launching, Tony's life threatens to spiral out of control.
If only he could capture what he felt on canvas.

My review is for the entire five part series. I found the plot compelling even though the author didn't admit or possibly didn't recognize they were writing a polyamorous romance. Unfortunately the erotica genre is replete with plots that are exactly the same, powerful men teaching women to be submissive because they didn't know they would enjoy it so much or vampire themes. So this series was refreshing because it used normal people that introduce you to the world of art. I actually learned a lot about painting. Unfortunately, the graphic sex scenes, which are what I read erotica for, were uneven, especially when a sexual act should have had more psychological impact on the characters.I would urge the author to join Goodreads as an author, so we can follow his career and communicate with him/her.

Enjoyed this one! Well thought out and compelling characters.
Tony is a little bit thick at times though. I liked the arc of the story.
First web the story on a story website and felt that it was written so well that I wanted to buy the book.
I've enjoyed all of Devon's works. The characters are complex and while the plot is perhaps a bit convoluted (how many guys end up in a *working* "harem"-like relationship) he keeps it all within the realm of sanity.
Good story, flows well. The sex in the story is appropriate but not something I favor. The best parts are the internal emotional changes that Tony goes through. I found that the description on his development while painting and playing raquetball very well done. As far as I am concerned, the development of Tony, ( and to a lesser extent, the other charecters ) the most enjoyable part of the story. The romance, not so much. I also read the other books in this series and will buy any sequels.
The story draws you in. If you are even the slightest bit left-brained, you will find the characters plausible, and likeable. You will be on edge to find out what happens and the adrenaline will surge as it builds to the next installment
Good for some enjoyment.
I originally saw this series on another site and eventually bought it here.
