At the start of their marriage Marsh Rutherford made a mistake, now his marriage is in trouble and he must find a solution because losing her isn’t an option in this transfixing paranormal romance.A new opportunity presents itself and a fresh start for his family seems to be in reach and the readers can’t help but become mesmerized by this second chance romance that is threatened by secrets. There’s no denying Marsh and Caroline’s love for each other or the chemistry that sizzles between them but secrets and the situation play havoc with their relationship causing some extreme emotional distress which grips readers by the heart and has them empathizing with these strong, bewitching characters and their situation which is complicated by their children. This fast paced and smooth flowing plot draws readers in and refuses to let go and it’s full of suspense, excitement and romance.
Expectation grabs readers in its thrall from the get go as they wonder just what kind of solution Marsh will find and will he find it in time to salvage his marriage with additional suspense and excitement involving the secret Marsh has and some dangerous excitement spicing things up regarding cattle rustlers. The story holds readers captive with an expectant air and emotional turbulence that the readers can feel flowing from the pages and let me just say that it certainly had me holding my breath and wanting to step in and knock a few heads together and help Marsh out.
Another great story in the Middlemarch Shifters series, this one brings a whole new perspective introduces new characters and new scenery for readers to enjoy and the cute and precocious child in this story added quite a few surprises and a few chuckles to my delight…I can’t wait for my next visit.

Being a seamstress, Caroline's love of sewing endeared this one to me pretty quickly. Then there's the twist that she doesn't know her husband of six years is a shifter. Marsh's struggle with coming clean and breaking his family away from his controlling parents, combined with the everyday problems that so many couples face was interesting in its own right. Combine that with rustlers, a very precocious three-year-old, and some peeks at what the Mitchell's are up to make this one hard to put down. Once again. Munro has given us a witty, fun Middlemarch story.

This is a standalone, HEA shifter story. You don’t have to read the other series, but I would highly recommend it so you can understand more of the character’s backgrounds.
Caroline and Marsh are having a rough time with their marriage. They have been married for years and have two boys. But they have secrets. The biggest one? Is that Marsh is a feline shifter and so are their boys and Caroline doesn’t know it. She thinks the late nights and sleeping in separate rooms means he’s moved on or cheating, not that Marsh doesn’t know what to do anymore.
When given the option to start fresh they take it and their lives seem to improve. They start sharing a bed, work together, and become happy. But when his secret starts to threaten their new arrangements, can he tell Caroline the truth? Or will meddling family members and Caroline’s fear of that secret tear them apart?
What could be worse than awful in-laws? Well, mean, snooty, shifter in-laws can be, that's for sure! Especially if you don't know they are shifters, or that your husband is, or crap, your kids! Poor Marsh, really wasn't thinking when he took his parents advice or agreed to work for his dad (that penny pinching, no good a$&h@&$!). Now he's got to fix his marriage before his wife leaves him, oh and explain that he turns furry too!
I absolutely loved this new addition to the Middlemarch series! This one has the cutest kids or would that be kittens? It can be read alone but you would miss references to the prior stories and couples. Shelly Munro is one of my favorite authors, I've never read a book of hers I didn't love! She's a very gifted writer, always putting a little humor (ok sometimes a lot) in her stories while at the same time ramping up the heat factor. I was lucky enough to receive a complimentary copy in return for a fair and honest review. Highly recommend this book to shifter lovers - it's one of the best shifter series out there!

I loved Caroline and Marsh's story. Marsh is finally realizing how much listening to his parents and not telling Caroline his secret has damaged their relationship. His relationship with his parents is badly damaged and not apt to change any time soon. Caroline needs to know sooner, rather than later, especially since her sons are shifters as well. The entire family needs a new place, a new start, and space away from his parents. Caroline is stronger and more talented than anyone gives her credit for.
